DECEMBER 01, 2008 UPDATE: Hey Blog Fresh fans. Just a quick note to let you know that we haven't done a December Disappearance on you! We're actually hard at work on a massive four-hour year-end special in conjunction with our friends over at HYPE MACHINE. We're going to be counting down the Top 50 (!) albums of 2008, as voted by the music blogosphere in the annual MUSIC BLOG ZEITGEIST. A bunch of your favorite bloggers will be joining us on the show to help navigate all the great music and share some pertinent thoughts along the way. Think of it as your holiday buying guide. With the U.S. presidential election now finally over, we were able to turn off CNN long enough to actually finish a new show for you. Hurray!

Two of our favorite UK blogs join us this week. Tim from the Daily Growl takes us on a trip up north to his Scottish homeland (sort of), while Jen and Ben from Play It As It Lays reveal the story behind the origin of their excellent blog, their connection to Mike from Nothing But Green Lights, and a theory on why there are so many more American music blogs than British ones.

A couple of special deliveries from the land of Oz this week, too. Architecture in Helsinki top the Blog Fresh Chart with a new single (and hints about a possible new album next year), while Who The Bloody Hell Are They? turn us on to Australian wunderkind Adrian Whitehead.
